How to Change the Device Name, Icon and Location in the Tapo App of your Devices
Recent updates may have expanded access to feature(s) discussed in this FAQ. Visit your product's support page, select the correct hardware version for your device, and check either the Datasheet or the firmware section for the latest improvements added to your product. Please note that product availability varies by region, and certain models may not be available in your region.
1. On the home page, tap on the card for the device that you would like to make changes to.
2. Tap the gear icon and Device Info to enter the device info page.
3. On the Device Info page, you change your device’s icon, name, and location/room. The available icons are different for each type of device (camera, plug, light, sensor)
