If the battery of your Tapo Smart Door Lock is fully drained while you are locked outside, you can connect it to an external power source to power up your door lock and gain entry to your home:
- Please remove the silicone cover from the Type-C port on the exterior assembly.
Connect the lock to a power source (such as a power bank) using a USB cable. This will provide temporary power and will not charge the battery. Note that this port is for power only and cannot transfer data.
