How to Adjust Carpet Settings for a Tapo Robot Vacuum

The Tapo app allows you to add carpeted areas to the map for your Robot Vacuum and customize their cleaning preferences. You can even set your robot vacuum to avoid moving over or cleaning the carpets.
1. In the Tapo app, go to the vacuum’s home screen, then tap the Map icon in the top right.
2. Select the map you want to edit, then tap Edit Map.
3. Tap Carpet to enter the carpet settings page. From here, you can add/edit carpets or manage carpet preferences.
4. Add/Edit the carpet areas.
· Tap Rectangle Carpet to add a carpet to your map. Then, adjust the size and move it to the position you want.
· Tap Room Carpet and choose the rooms where you want to place the carpet.
5. Managing carpet preferences.
a. Tap Carpet Preferences after adding carpets.
b. Tap a carpet area and customize its cleaning preferences.
· No Cleaning
The robot vacuum will avoid the carpet. If unavoidable, it will traverse the carpet quickly.
· Vacuum Only
The robot will vacuum carpets but not mop. With the mopping attachment, it will avoid carpets or cross them quickly if unavoidable.
· Vacuum & Mop
The robot vacuum will vacuum and mop carpets.
· Carpet Boost (Apply to all carpet areas)
When enabled, Carpet Boost automatically increases the suction power by one level for designated Carpet areas to achieve a more thorough cleaning.
Note: It will not increase suction further if it is already at maximum suction.
