How to Ensure a Secure Power Connection For Your Tapo C120

An important step when installing and using your Tapo C120 Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Home Security Camera is ensuring it is connected to a reliable power source. After installing your Tapo C120, please follow the steps below to ensure a firm power connection.
1. Firmly plug in the power connector to the power port of the camera, ensuring no gap exists.
Note: When plugging in the power connector, you may feel some resistance from the silicon cork inside the power port. This resistance is normal and is due to the camera’s waterproof design. Ensure the power connector is plugged in firmly until there is no gap between the connector and the camera’s power port. Please see the example shown in the images below.
2. When mounting the camera on a wall or similar surface, minimizing slack in the power cable is crucial. Minimizing slack in the power cord can be accomplished using adhesive tape or the provided cable clamp and screw (shown below).
Note: To ensure a firm connection, secure the power cord approximately 25 cm (10 in.) away from where it is plugged in to the camera, as shown below.
