The Tapo Robot Vacuum consumes power while docked for charging and network connectivity purposes; however, its power consumption is minimal while it is docked. This behavior is intentional by design to help keep the vacuum’s battery charge optimized when the vacuum is in the Dock. By optimizing the charging rate, it will help preserve the battery’s health, performance, and capacity over time.
