Currently, Tapo P100, Tapo P110, Tapo P105, Tapo P115 are available
Tapo P110 and Tapo P115 support energy monitor function, while Tapo P100 and Tapo P105 not.
Tapo P105 and Tapo P115 are Mini-sized Smart Plug which is smaller than Tapo P100/Tapo P115.
2. How do I tell what electrical appliances can I plug into the Tapo Smart Plug?
You can check if the total draw and wattage of devices Plugged into the Tapo Smart Plug are within the rated amperage and wattage of the Tapo Smart Plug.
To find the rated amperage and wattage of the Tapo Smart Plug, please go to TP-Link official website to chek its datasheet and specification, like Tapo P100.
3. How do I tell if the Tapo Smart Plug is compatible with my router?
The Tapo Smart Plug is compatible with all of the wireless routers as long as the router supports 2.4Ghz frequency.

Yes, you can delete the Tapo app and use the Plug with Alexa only after configuring it using the app and associating it with Alexa. You won't be able to use all of the Smart Plug's features, though.
8. Can the Tapo Smart Plug join a captive portal-secured wireless network?
No, the Tapo Smart Plug only supports WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and WPA3 for wireless security.
9. Can I remote-control the Tapo Smart Plug?
Yes, as long as the Tapo Smart Plugs are connected to a working internet.
10. How can I use the Tapo Smart Plug once again if I switch to a new router?
I have two recommendations for you:
- Push the button for 10 seconds to reset the device and start over, or for 5 seconds to put it in configuration mode and connect to a new network.
- Set your wireless network to the same name and password as your old router. You don't need to set up the Tapo Smart Plug from scratch because the smart home gadget just recognizes networks based on their SSID, security type, and password.
11. Can I make use of the Tapo Smart Plug without an internet connection?
No, the Tapo Smart Plug need to be connected to the internet.
