Q2: What’s the FOV of the Tapo D130?
The Tapo D130 has a Field of View (FOV) of 180° (Diagonal), 172° (Horizontal), and 144° (Vertical). This wide FOV allows it to capture a broader area, making it suitable for monitoring large spaces effectively.
Q3: Will mounting wedge influence the viewing field of my camera?
We provide 5° vertical and 15° horizontal mounting wedges to adjust the doorbell's view angle for a more desirable location. It won't decrease the doorbell's viewing field.
Q4: Why do the four corners of my live view screen have vignetting?
Tapo D130 uses a 180-degree fisheye optical lens, and the default live view interface will have four vignetting corners. You can use the Distortion Correction feature to eliminate vignetting corners if you don't want them. Go to Device Settings of the Tapo D130 > Video& Display and enable the Distortion Correction feature.
Q5: Can I install the doorbell upside down instead of vertically?
The doorbell camera is designed to be installed vertically, not upside down. But if you truly have such special demand, you can turn on the Invert Image feature to rotate the video image 180 degrees for a proper view. Go to Device Settings of the Tapo D130 > Video& Display and enable the Invert Image feature.
Q6: How can I receive notifications only when someone presses the doorbell?
If you just want to receive notifications when the doorbell is pressed, you can go to the doorbell’s settings and disable motion detection and AI detection.
Q7: How can I receive more attention-grabbing notifications, such as vibrate and ring, than just text messages?
In addition to the text notifications sent by the Tapo app, you can enable the Ring call feature. When someone presses the doorbell, a video call window appears on the mobile phone, followed by vibration and ringing, which clearly reminds you that the doorbell is being pressed at this time. Go to Device Settings > Doorbell > Doorbell Video Call and enable the feature.
Note: Each mobile phone independently controls the on/off and activation of the doorbell video call function, and it will not take effect simultaneously through the TP-Link ID.
Q8: Can Kasa and Tapo chimes be used interchangeably?
Due to the difference in Chime usage protocols, Tapo and Kasa can only use the chime corresponding to their respective brands, so please use the chime included in the package.
Q9: What is the Tapo Chime's maximum functioning distance?
Tapo Chime is a Wi-Fi chime that can communicate with Tapo Doorbell through home Wi-Fi or a cloud server. Both Chime and Doorbell can continue communicating with each other without distance limitation as long as they are connected to the internet.
Q10: How do I manage my Tapo Chime?
The Tapo Chime won't show up on the Home page. To manage the Tapo Chime, go to Tapo D130 Device Settings > Doorbell > Paired Chimes.
Q11: How many Tapo Chimes can work with one Tapo Doorbell?
The Tapo doorbell and chime can realize many-to-many under the same TP-Link account. Please refer to the following guide to learn how to pair the chime.

Q12: If the doorbell goes offline, will Tapo Hub or Chime still ring when the doorbell is pressed?
If the chime is connected to the doorbell on the same Wi-Fi network, the chime will still ring even though the doorbell is offline.
If the chime is connected to the chime from a different Wi-Fi network, the chime won’t still ring if the doorbell is offline.
Q13: What voltage is required for the Tapo D130 connection? Can I just use a transformer if I don't have an old doorbell system at home?
Tapo D130 requires a voltage range from 8V to 24V, and it could be powered by a transformer or a power adapter if there is no old doorbell system.
Q14: Does Tapo D130 support RTSP/onvif protocol?
Yes, the Tapo D130 doorbell does support both RTSP and ONVIF protocols. This capability allows for integration with various third-party systems, enabling users to manage and view their doorbell's video feed effectively. Q15: Can the Tapo doorbell use the existing chime instead of the Tapo wireless chime? How about other wireless chimes from other brands, such as Eufy or Ring?
Tapo D130 will not work with your existing chime; it can only be used with the wireless chime that comes in the package. Simply plug the wireless chime into the power outlet in the desired location in the home and pair the chime with your doorbell so you can hear when someone comes to visit your home.
You can add Tapo wireless chimes/hub to notify you of visitors' arrivals. Also, if you wish to use a third-party device, the Alexa Echo speaker/display and the Google Assistant speaker/display can currently be paired with the Tapo doorbell on the corresponding third-party platform. Q18: What Internet speed is required for using the Kasa doorbell?
At least 3 Mbps upload speed in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
