It is cool to be able to see through the cameras in the app, and have two way audio. Setup and use is reasonably easy. However, the app contains ads, can be laggy and unresponsive even on a modern phone, and the subscription price increases without notice.

I was very happy with my tapo camera at first, video quality is great but the tech is VERY flawed. It stops recording when there is still motion, the beta geotracking doesn't work so you have to record all the time or remember to turn it on when you leave & even using the cloud it randomly will no longer record so you can't ever count on it to be working. I haven't changed anything and am literally jumping up and down in front of the camera and I can see myself but it won't record. Disappointing

I have many products and the app is great for managing them all. I'm just not impressed with the D230 doorbell. 1 - the detection zones don't work well and I still get motion captured outside these zones. 2 - the latest firmware update keeps telling me my barter is staining too fast - even when the battery is not installed and is currently charging. I already have the sensitivity set low, it would be great to be able to dismiss this notification once and always.
